Three guys are locked in uncomfortable work situations. They vow to do something about it. So, the solution is simple -- murder their bosses. There is a bit of comedy early in the movie with Spacey as the boss from hell and Aniston as a horny dentist sexually harassing her assistant. But things quickly degenerate into slapstick nonsense.
Do you think we are on a path where each new comedy tries to out-gross the "Hangover" pair? Are there no more Hollywood writers adept at subtle humor with clever dialogue? Maybe they're being told to try to reach the lowest common denominator. If so, they're getting pretty close to finding it. (Editor's note: perhaps it is more a reflection on the intellectual level of the Matineeidle's editor, but he found the movie pretty funny; gross, but funny...a "7.")
