Midnight in Paris

Rating: 8
Starring: Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates, Adrien Brody
Genre: Adult Comedy

Wilson is a self-described "Hollywood hack" hoping to rise above his screenwriter job by completing a great novel. Vacationing in Paris with his fiance (McAdams) and her parents, he looks for inspiration by imagining himself among the greats who lived in Paris during the 1920's. Wandering the streets at midnight, he befriends Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Gertrude Stein, Picasso, and other luminaries out of the past. The movie is vintage Woody Allen.

It moves swiftly and is full of light comedy and easy to watch, certainly among the more pleasurable movies of recent months. It has an interesting ending, which may surprise you.
