Giamatti is at the top of his game as a lawyer whose practice is faltering. He convinces the court to appoint him guardian for an elderly client in order to collect a $1500 monthly fee, and immediately places him in a nursing home. The client's young grandson runs away from home and shows up to visit his grandfather and refuses to return to his uncaring mother. Giamatti coaches a high school wrestling team in the throes of a losing season.
It just happens that the young boy is a champion wrestler. The movie is a good story well told with believable and interesting characters. It's the best one I've seen recently.
