This movie received superlative ratings from numerous critics, and Williams has been nominated for an Academy Award as the stressed-out wife whose marriage has turned out to be less than she envisioned.
Composed of brief scenes with little dialogue, the movie shifts between pre-marital days and present day disappointment. It was not always apparent where we were in time. Nor was it easy to root for either Williams or husband Gosling. The only thing I rooted for was this slow moving film to end. I do not recommend it.
