A small island off Boston Harbor serves as a facility for the criminally insane. It is the setting for this gripping psychological drama, which will hold your attention until the end. The climax will be a surprise to most, although there were hints along the way through numerous short flashbacks. DiCaprio and Ruffalo as US Marshalls come to the island to investigate the escape of a dangerous female patient. Kingsley, head doctor at the hospital, appears to be frustrating their efforts intentionally. After the turn of events at the end, some may be inclined to see it again with the idea that the story might come into clearer focus. Two hours, 18 minutes was enough for me.
