Hathaway has gotten excellent reviews for her performance as a drug addict let out of rehab for a long weekend to attend her sister's wedding. Although her performance has thrust her into Academy Award contention, the movie itself is not that great.
The wedding can only be described as unconventional and incredibly expensive. Several of the scenes are too long. Incidents from the past which led to Hathaway's addiction are dredged up to focus on continuing family angst.
