This movie was a prize winner at Sundance. Two down and out women cross paths that lead to an operation smuggling immigrants from Messena, NY across the frozen St. Lawrence River to Canada.
Watching this movie is like seeing a runaway train hurling down the tracks with a car stalled at the next intersection. The story is well told, and although depressing, an absorbing drama. However, it's unlikely to be a big winner at the box office.
