Outstanding cast. Interesting story line. It looks like a good movie. Not so fast. The cast is better than the script, although there are some moments that produce chuckles. The main focus is on a young prep-school teacher who leaves the quiet life of academia for a shot at Manhattan and a man (Kline) who hires himself out to escort older women of wealth around town. Both leading characters are a bit weird. The younger man takes a fling as a cross dresser. Kline’s character collects colorful Christmas balls and his escort business is flagging mostly because of his abrasive personality.
