Genre: Adult Drama
Starring: Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, Stanley Tucci
Actually this is two stories woven together , each covering different time periods and places. Julia Child is in Paris after WW11 with her husband
who is assigned to the US Embassy. She decides to go to cooking school, eventually writing "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" (written in English). Julie Powell is a low-level US government employed in 2002 in New York and she's bored. As a diversion she begins to cook each recipe from the book and opens up a blog on the internet.

Streep is her usual brilliant self as she somehow masters Child's distinct high-pitch voice. Adams is rapidly becoming an excellent actress with the ability to play a wide range of different roles. The movie, however, is not quite as interesting as I thought it would be.
