17 Again

Starring: Zac Efron, Leslie Mann, Matthew Perry

Genre: "Comedy"

Rating: 2

The local paper gave 3.5 stars (out of 4) to this one. Entertainment Weekly gave it a C-. EW was too generous. Matthew Perry's character has seen his life unravel in his mid 30's. His wife has kicked him out, his children can't communicate with him, and he quits his job when he fails to get promoted.

He wonders what life would have been like if he had capitalized on his basketball stardom and accepted a college scholarship. Suddenly, he is transformed back in time and reappears in the body of his former 17-year-old self. He re-enters his old high school and finds it difficult to cope as he tries to relate to his children and estranged wife. God help us all if teenage behavior is as hedonistic as portrayed in this movie.
