Richard Jenkins is one of those guys we've seen in various bit parts. As far as I know, this is his first leading role. He does a believable job as a stodgy college professor who finds an immigrant pair in his NY apartment when he goes to the city for an academic conference. Inviting them to stay, they become friends. The young Syrian immigrant then gets arrested subject to deportation. His concerned mother shows up, helping Jenkins in an effort to obtain the young man's release.
This is an interesting story, well done.

I liked the movie. It didn't follow the same route that I thought it would. It makes you ponder our current problem with illegal aliens.
